National Purebred Dog Day Movement

Did you know that there are more panda bears in the world than there are Skye Terriers?

I'm asking for the help of every purebred dog owner & enthusiast with this project.  Please share the link with ten of your friends and ask them to do the same.  Put it up on your Facebook page; post it on your clubs' pages.  Share with your hunting buddies because they too are impacted by animal laws, by breed specific legislation, and by the animal rights movement to restrict dog breeding.  Whether their dogs are purebreds purchased from an ethical breeder, adopted from a shelter, or re-homed from breed rescue, we are all in the fight of our lives to save our breeds and to preserve our right to own the dogs of our choice.

Will this save the world?  No.  But if having a national day recognizing purebred dogs and their contributions to the world; if having a website to help give voice to us as purebred dog owners & lovers, maybe it's a little start. I know I am tired of not having a voice.

In an effort to promote & celebrate purebred dogs, we hope to have this video go viral and to have a movement that sweeps the nation, but it can only do so with your help.

Gotta Wonder Why....

I gotta wonder why people turn on their friends all in the name of rescue.  It doesn't matter if it's dog rescue, horse rescue, cat rescue, or any other kind of rescue including that of unborn children who are being slaughtered under the guise of "choice".

Normally sane & reasonable people develop a Jeckyll & Hyde persona and they turn on those they've known for years in favor of those they may have been acquainted with for a much shorter period.  I'm speaking of many, many years shorter.  And, of course, they never ask their friend of many, many years for their views.  They would rather believe the false friend.

By the way, for those who do not know, a false friend is a person who is not really your friend. They are acquaintances, people, who we may have encountered by way of a common cause.  Through that cause, we may become real friends or not.  That depends on them. They may want attention, popularity, your belongings or just plain and simply, your money.

People involved in animal rights are ALWAYS after something other than your true friendship.  They will stroke your ego and mollify your desire to help someone or something less fortunate. If you buck them at all, do not agree with them 100%, they drop you like a hot potato.  Another classic move of theirs is to condemn and lie about you, twisting everything to their advantage.  Noted animal rights groups where this is more than obvious include, but are not limited to: Grey2K, HSUS, and PeTA, as well as their minions.  They trash good people and those who should know better believe them!

Ya know, I just don't get it.

Grey2K Lies

I started following a new blog today - Grey2K Lies.

It is eye-opening. In reading some of the Grey2K Board Members comments, which are highlighted on a couple of pages, I feel absolutely sullied, like I've been touched by something very, very dirty... something evil.  One Board Member, Karyn Zoldan of Arizona, commented about the Skechers commercial during the Super Bowl:

"Middle class, educated white people don't go to bet on the dogs. That is Skecher's and TGP's (Tucson Greyhound Park) wet dream."

What a bigoted & racist thing to say!  It's disgusting! This is a BOARD MEMBER for a group that touts itself as a tax exempt charity???  Uhm...  I think the IRS needs to look into that status post haste!

It gets better, actually much worse...  This same BOARD MEMBER, Karyn Zoldan, comments about the turn out pens at TGP - "It looks like Auschwitz..."

That is so.... so....  to compare a greyhound kennel to the Nazi extermination camp, where people suffered horrific treatment, where millions of people died...  It's just so over the top that I am sick to my stomach. However, that should show you just how sick these animal rights activists are.  All of them should be shut up on an island somewhere far, far away from people. Preferably, that island would hold some type of animal threat to them and then they would see their "animal rights" in action!  I would, however, feel sorry for the animals there.

Disgusting...  Vile... evil people....

Grey 2K Strikes Again

People have asked me, how can you love greyhounds and NOT SUPPORT Grey2K. I've told them because Grey2K does nothing for the dogs. They are a political action group... lobbyists. Well, Grey2K has given me other reasons to not support them... reasons that are despicable. Recently a Grey2K BOD member commented, "Middle class, educated, white people don't go to bet on the dogs". That comment leads me to believe that the BOD member believes that betting on dog races is an activity that is engaged in by either the poor, the uneducated, and/or minorities, but not "middle class, educated, white people." Very, very distasteful...

However, that same BOD member followed up with this gem, which is most insensitive, most distasteful, and very vile. She compares dogs being crated as follows, "it looks like Auschwitz". It makes me want to get sick. It trivializes the millions of deaths, the attempted extermination of not only the Jewish people, but also of the Roma and anyone who opposed the Nazi regime: the Poles, Slavs, and POWs, just to end a sport that they do not like. How vile can they get? How low can they go?

Disgusting!
